  • Flickr: not a search engine, but it’s a great place to search for photos. Use its Advanced Search. register for free, and take advantage of Flickr’s safe-search option. 
  • Wikimedia Commons: a database of images, music, and videos that’s available for educational purposes, as long as you attribute their source. To find out the owner of an image or its licensing agreement, just click on the picture.
